Case Study Our customer needed their out of the box WonderWare Intouch HMI to communicate with their legacy hardware in the field. Protocol to communicate with the field I/O was not support by OPC or Intouch I/O Servers. Strategies, SolutionsDeadline Solutions Team Automation developed their own I/O server that could read and write data. The protocol was encapsulated in an Ethernet packet. Using Visual C++ and the Intouch IDEA/Toolkit, a new IO Server could be developed that would plug-in seamlessly to the Intouch environment. The resulting product was a server that ran 24/7 with 99.999% uptime. The project was implemented with the factory experiencing zero downtime.
